I lost my original Motorola RAZR V3 so I was forced to replace it with a new one from Cingular. The new phone definitely works better with the car. Audio quality is better for the person on the other end. In general both outside and inside of the car audio quality and reception is better. While my house is being restored my wife and I live in an apartment. The reception in our apartment, on the edge of a Cingular dead zone, was only available next to the window. Now the reception is consistently available throughout the apartment. The improvement of a new RAZR V3 with my Bimmer and in general was surprising.

Are you serious? How can you tell if its "new" what did Motorola change? I know I have an older one since I got one of the first ones that came out.

I can report similar pleasantries. I have however switched back to Verizon. Their RAZR V3c pairs much faster with the car (I sometimes experienced delays as long as a minute with the old phone). The V3c pairs instantly and the echo is all gone. Ofcourse the coverage is far superior to Cingular's GSM effort. I no longer see the signal drop and rebound as I drive from cell site to cell site and no longer see that ridiculous roaming triangle. I will keep my old V3 for tavelling abroad. ED hopefully next year.

Paul, we were wondering where you were. I believe that you were the first to have Bluetooth on a pre- 9/04 E60. Can you check the software version you have and post? That is how you can tell the difference between the different V3 firmware versions.
Hormazd, if you have the Verizon V3c with firmware version 2 you can Bluetooth media and contacts to and from your laptop now, like you could with the V3.
