The cars telematics unit... deleting entries

Whilst tinkering with a couple of phone book entries, I was looking for a way to delete individual entries from the car. Is this possible, because I couldn't find a way?
I tried to edit the number but all I ended up with was duplicate entries. In the end I had to resort to deleting the phone pairing, re-pair and then 'bookmark' and send all the entries over again.....in groups!! A total ballaching excersize with the current crop of Nokia's.
I may just go back to my Storm!
