Hi All
I have a strange situation were the I.Drive is showing up Mobile Phone Signal Strength bars on the screen which are going up and down even when the phone is nowhere near the car or switched, The car is an 05 525iSe Tourer, Any ideas on what might be causing this and a solution

BMW has an embedded cellular phone installed in the car for use with BMW Assist, emergency services, and service requests. The signal strength meter you're seeing reflects the signal for the embedded phone.

I remember my 2004 car displaying these signal strength bars but I'm pretty sure that a software update changed this behavior. There's really nothing wrong with your car other than to speculate that you might be running an older version of software...

Thanks for the info, Cant undertstamd ho why it should juts start now showing the Embedded phone signal when i have had the car for nealry a year now, car is booked in for a Service and a free software update next week so hopefully this will cure it then
