I have the BMW phone and navigation. The problem I have is that I can not program the Dial Names into the car. The manual says I can store up to 50 names to dial with voice commands. The only names I can dial are the 20 or so that you can program into the phone if you remove it from the car. I haven't yet contacted my dealer on this, but it is the only problem I've had with the car which I picked up one week ago tomorrow.

I have a 330ci now with a BMW phone and when I say "store name" it then asks me for the name and number. You can't do that?

I think the "dial names" function is tied to the voice command system. Depending on when your car was built or if newer software has been loaded yet, the voice command may or may not work.

I'm pretty sure the software is now available so a trip to the dealer to get the latest version should make not only the voice dialing work but also the multitude of other voice commands work as well.
