ok, so to answer your question: it does work, you can connect your iPhone to the iPod adapter or cable, and pair it with the bluetooth. If you're listening to music and a call comes in, the music fades out and you can answer your call. After you hang up, the music starts to fade in again.

That does helps a lot. Thank you. I'm so glad it works, I was afraid that they would leave out the compatibility with the BMW iPod MOST bus interface or that you could not pair it via BT while it is hooked up to the interface.

Wiu, i'm not so sure that this is true. From what im reading only the usb ipod kit on 3/07 3 and 5 series work with the iphone and idrive. I have intentionally held off on getting the ipod adaptor because i was afraid of incompatibility issues. Another person in the iphone bluetooth thread has already said it doesn't work (of course bluetooth works). Say it isn't so!
