What is the telephone support? If I have the CPT9000 cradle already installed and working do I still need that particular part?

Yes -- if you have the CPT9000 already installed and working all you need to do is buy this bluetooth module and plug it in the cradle instead of the v60 phone. I think that's it -- like Rudy said, the module just emulates the cpt9000 so no further programming is needed. I just wonder though .. how do you get the module to recognize your bluetooth cell phone?

I'm sure you pair it just like any other "keyboardless" device. Have you ever paired a BT headset to a phone? Usually, there's a set passcode like 1234 that you have to enter on the phone.

Lomag, if you don't have the CPT9000 installed now, you're most likely not going to be able to do the install by yourself since programming is needed.

I added the CPT 9000 myself, but did need to go in for programming.
I wonder if this device would work with my Treo 650... I usually forward my 650 to the CPT 9000 when I get in the car. I guess it's just as easy to keep my current setup. I'm sure I'd have to pay to discontinue my 2nd phone (the CPT 9000). That would be on top of the $295...
I'd hate to spend that extra $$$$ if the 650 address book wouldn't transfer properly...

Hey Guys,
For those curious ... I got pricing on the parts from Garry @ BMW of Newport, RI who is offering 25% off (sometimes even more) in our Parts & Accessories sub-forum (http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=18067). The results are:
The bluetooth module is $221.25 vs. the $295 MSRP plus shipping of around $10 (part num: 84110410145).
For those who still need the CPT9000 eject box and support frame they are $97.50 for the eject box (part num: 84116946537) and $18.20 for the support frame (part num: 51167060175) both over 30% off list price.
Vaheh @ Crevier quoted similiar pricing, a little higher by around 10 bucks so no real difference except for me personally, ordering from an east coast dealer provides quicker ground shipping. Check out the thread above to contact Garry or you can email Vaheh if your on the west coast at vbashikian@crevierbmw.com.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Excellent Info Lomag. That cradle price is half of what I recalled from a couple months ago. I just hope it is available in the numbers we'll need.
So, the whole deal will be around $300+ labor, rather than $600; that's really fine.
Cheers,
Ray Hull
