Bluetooth & USB/Aux not responding. Help
I just bought this beautiful car, but I can't listen to music I want to. I've tried different cables, however nothing seems to help. Also, it says sos not responding too.
how do I fix it and what's wrong?
Thanks!

What year is your car? Bluetooth was not available on earlier models and in order to stream music, you need certain add-ons.

If you have the SOS message you have to check the error codes first, could be the TCU module (Bluetooth), another module connect in the MOST loop or the MOST Fiber Optical cable.

There are many options to read the error codes, some options can be Auto Zone for free, ODB II generic readers but I would go via Carly for BMW, INPA or ISTA D. INPA and ISTA D you can find on ebay.

Do you have SOS error Yes or No?
SOS error will not light CEL in cluster, it will be displayed in iDrive and the error code associated with the SOS error will be store in the ECU.

I have the same issue as well. I disabled the annoying notification for the SOS error using ncs expert. I read on other forums that the mulf or tcu units may be dead. Will need further troubleshooting.
