Can I upgrade my car and get it Bluetooth enabled? If so what is the TCU part # and the cost?

My dealer indicated $2700 for tcu and labor. Not sure about the part number.

Cost for a new TCU is in the $1500 to $2000 range if the dealer charges you full list. Labour is only about an hour for the TCU and then a couple hours to program BT and clear faults (speaking from my experience).

Try to negotiate a better parts price if you can. A number of dealers have been willing to bend to help out their customers.

I have heard rumors the BMW will make an attachment part to fix the old TCU issues. SImular to what they have done with the late model E39 to add bluetooth. Has anyone heard anything along this line?
