Pick my new car (E60 535D M-Sport) up on Monday & it has the Bluetooth with Telematics option fitted, but i was told by the dealer that the newest Nokia cradle available was for the 6230 so being in a rush i said that would do, but although i have a 6230 handset that i no longer use, my current handset is a Nokia 6021 so i'd like to know if that will fit a 6230 cradle?? Both the 6230 & 6021 are the same overall size & the bottom connections identical so i assume it will just slot straight in, or will i have to swap back to using a 6230.

Also, reading threads about BlackBerry's, will my 7290 work with the Bluetooth in the car? I will have the V20 software update applied during PGI.

Cheers in advance

You may have better luck posting this in the Bluetooth forum. Good luck!

Cause of a lot of differences between car's options I cannot guarantee, but on my car the BlackBerry 7290 works perfectly. With new software version 4.1 the BB also transfers its address book to the car.

The sound quality of the Nokia is still better and there are no cradles available for the BB (yet).

I've checked the version number of my BB & it looks like it's V4.0.2. something. How can i get the BB updated to V4.1??

In another topic there is a link to the website where you can download this new version.

My systems manager did it for me, he also said that he got the update from a Hong Kong site. The link in the other topic also refers to this website. Good luck!

Well the 6021 does not fit the cradle, so i've had to revert back to my 6230 for the time being. No cradle available for the 6021 as yet, the 6230 is the most recent Nokia cradle they have.

Looks like a also can't get my BlackBerry phonebook into the i-drive, as their is no UK or European update for the 7290 to take it to V4.1

Check the link that's mentioned before.
Someone at this forum provided a link to get version 4.1
It's unofficial for Europe, so no support from a European telco.

https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareDownload...lient=cB5RB4aRB

I have it installed and the phonebook transfers perfectly.
