Bluetooth TCU Question 545i 11/03 Production

My Ride: 2004 545i Sport, Premium, Cold Weather, Ipod, 35% Tinted windows

I checked the left side of my trunk today for the TCU and it appears to be there from what I can tell from picture posted of it. However, it does not have any kind of bluetooth writing on the front, rather it is bar metal with a green dot on it. Not sure exactly what that means. My question is can I just get the software upgrade?

I don't think so. I have a 1/04 production and my TCU would not work. I think it has to be after 3/04.

got the same production year..got quoted to replace the tcu and program for about $1000... that s way to much ... i guess i stick to talking thru my speaker phone... and keep the 1k for sum real nice mods....
