If anyone is interested I received all my Bluetooth kit today, so I will post in the DIY section a how to guide on fitting the BMW Bluetooth kit for E60's with no pre wiring.

I would like to know how as well, my BT module is not working yet. Everything is hooked up.

I don't know anything about these modules...

1. Are they the same as the ones that come preinstalled on new cars?

2. If so, would it match the module I have in my MY07 E60? or is it maybe a newer build? I'm only asking out of curiosity in case
at some point down the road I might have an option to update my system since it seems to be so quirky..

The BT module(sitting at the back of the trunk) that I got is MY07 but my CCC seems to be MY06 which doesn't detect the module. So I am trying to swap it to see if it works.
