September was the month that BMW said Bluetooth and the Rear entertainment was supposed to be ready to retro fit on all new 5 series.
Anyone know if the schedule is the same? Any news on Sat radio retro fit?

Bluetooth is now available as retrofit, even for us with Navi Prof.

Daymn!!! that's freaking expensive!! aftermarket u can pretty much get top of the line stuff AND speakers for those prices...................

 

I've spoken to BMWNA a couple of times. The good news is that they are commiting to a retro kit for US-spec MY04 cars. The bad news is that one thought it may be available in October and the other thought it may be a late as early next year. I don't really think they know.

that's cool that they said it would be available to retrofit on MY04s! That is the first news of anything sounding official that would confirm BT on our E60s. Even if it is Q1 of next year, at least it sounds real. (but no later please!).

Up until now, it has been 'we'll try', 'it might', 'possibly', 'probably won't', and other kinds of uncertain cues from them. This sounds like positive movement on Bluetooth.
