if you have bluetooth prep, can you pair the phone with the car?

If you do have it, be aware that only a very few bluetooth phones will work with it.

A list is posted and I have the Siemens S55 paired with the car. So far so good, no problems at all even with the phone in my jacket and not with in the cradle I have perfect sound and good connection.

You have to choose in the idrive, the comunication option, and then look for a device and set the SE T610 to look for a device too. They should get in touch...

i didnt put in the comunications section when i searched for devices.

So i put it in comunications and then search for devices on the phone?

as soon as i put it in the comunications without searching, it says mobile phone not installed. So i need to leave that in search for devices on the phone? am i correct.

It's a bit more complicated than that. First of all refer to your universal phone preparation handbook that came with the car. You have to activate bluetooth on the car and get to the screen that says that BT phones are connectable in this menu, THEN go back to the phone and search. Sounds a bit like you don't have BT prep, I fear.

i dont think i got bluetooth prep because i didnt get any handbook. I thought all cars after july 2004 have bluetooth prep as standard. The dealer says it only takes 3hrs retrofit time.
