Having followed the bluetooth compatibility issues and the german bmw website I notice today that they have released a new (I trust it is new although the first page says Februar 2004 - pobably a typing mistake) document on compatible handys. It is in german but the last two tables tell you everything you need.
Same old phones but more info on the firmware etc.

Anyone has any information on the difference between options 644 (Phonepreparation Bluetooth) and 633 (Professional Navigation with integrated bluetooth phone preparation). The 633 is a new thing in the european options list from 3/05.
I wonder if there is any diifference having the navi prof (609) with the BT prep (644) separately - as I do - or having the 633.

 

If you want Prof Nav than for BT preparation you shud take 644 only.
I have heard that Prof Navigation has been conflicting with the compatability of some handys.
Probably BMW modified BT preparation for this case accordingly. I have noticed that with 644 option BMW can't gurantee the compatability of Nokia 6310i any more.
