Thumbs up

Dear E61 users, I've got 2 questions:
1.Could you provide a web page with Instruction Manual for E61 - English version would be OK. My dealer told me he had sold me the very first car in Poland, so he got Manual for E60 only. (Sic!)
2.I have got #640 Telephone Preparation option with Navi Prof. The dealer told me Bluetooth would be available only in Oct 2004. Is this true? How about asking dealers in Germany or Austria?
Regards, Piwo

You can email BMW and they send you a copy.
I asked for one after I've placed the order and received a *.pdf copy the next day and the real one was in my mail two days after that.

kundenbetreuung@bmw.de

The above email address is BMW's customer service in Munich, Germany.

I tried getting a copy of my CD covering the features of the E60 from BMWNA. I cracked it near the center removing or putting it in the case. They, wrote me back that I also had the DVD and if I wanted the CD, it could be purchased at my BMW Center. I responded by offering to swap my DVD for another CD. No answer. <_<

Pretty funny! Look at the response:

Dear Mr Piwowar,

Thank you for your e-mail.

We cannot provide you with a copy of the requested user manual. You need to
contact your local BMW dealership and order the desired material through them.

Kind Regards,
BMW Customer Service Team

The dealer says he does not have the manual. And they are exposed legaly, since you have to provide (Polish version!) manual to every machine or device sold in Poland. BMW does not want to help?! Strange!

The CD was especially useful since you could access certain features very fast through a menu system. It would make a good feature for the forum if it could be uploaded. Hint, hint.

That's f*cked up...

If they can't... why did they sent me the *.pdf AND mailed it to me two days later ??? I mean - that's what they are there for...

But now I would make a print out and show it to my dealer. Make him call BMW and get one...

I've had a total of three (3!)... because my dealer gave another copy... I don't know what these guys are thinking...

Iceman, I apreciate your concerns. Could be very nice, I can get help through your channels.
This is my #6 BMW (all bought new, '93- to date) and I will send you the full story one day on challanges to owe BMW here. And I do not mean theft nor security. These are quite ok these days. But local BMW and their dealer network <_< !!! One must be patient.......

Dear All, SUCCESS! After a strong letter you would'nt like to see my dealer delivered the original manual.
Interestingly it has a MP3 functionality description which DOES NOT work in my E61. Any ideas?
Brgds, P
