Has anyone tried to use an ipod bluetooth adapter with there bmw? Our 545i has bluetooth but no ipod connection and was curious to know if I get an ipod bluetooth adapter if the car will recognize it. Any other suggestions other than silly FM transmitters? I wish Grom Audio had a solution. I bought one for my is300 and it works perfect.

to the forum. You could run a search using the upper right tool bar to see what others members have done/discussed regarding IPOD/USB retrofit.

Not a big fan of the FM transmitter, I preferred the cassette adapter quality more on my previous car.

When you get the chance you may want to post your location as well as e60 specs (year, packages, etc...)

Nope.

If you attempt to pair the E60 as a "stereo headset" it won't pass the profile compatibility check/negotiation. It doesn't support A2DP and AVRCP which are requirements for such interoperability.
