Hello, I have a problem synchronizing my phonebook with my idrive. I am able to receive calls and dail numbers but the car doesn't recognize my phonebook. I have a Samsung T809 phone. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks.

A quick search here brought up one other person that had the same experience as yours.

It looks like that model Samsung doesn't support the phonebook transfer...

Your phone doesn't support the needed Bluetooth profiles - Supported Profiles: HSP, HFP, DUN, OPP, FTP
version 1.2

Do you have any non alphanumeric characters in your contact list? I was having the same problem with a Verizon Moto E815. I notice that Verizon had put a *68 or whatever in my contact list to make retrieving voicemail easier. I removed the *68 entry and my contact list transferred via bluetooth to my 04 545i. I do have a MY05 TCU.

You can try the add name feature. I've attached the E60 phone manual. Let me know how you make out.

Rudy,

I've used the "add name' option with several phones in E60's with and without NAV

Interesting, did they have BT phones or the hardwired CPT9000? Also, is it possible that the cars were on early release of software (like 2004 model year?)

I don't see the add a name feature. On which page in the manual is it described?

Thanks

Flip to the Communications section of the manual. My phonebook doesn't transfer, either. I have an LG VX8000. I thought about doing the "add name" option, but don't want to run through all of that.
