I like the Nokia phones but i was forced to get a SE T610 to work with the car.
I'm waiting for some new Nokia models that are being launched these next weeks, maybe i can get a compatible with the BMW bluetooth.
The T610 works fine with the car but i prefer the Nokia's.

Does anyone know if the Bluetooth option is available in the U.S.? Is there a price tag on it? Maybe there is an aftermarket option? Anyone?

Hi
I got the car - finally - yesterday, and tested bluetooth with Nokia 6310 (w/out "i"), and SE K700i. Both worked just perfectly... Phone book, accepted calls, rejected calls, top 8 etc were transferred without any problem. The phone is connected and ready to use while fastening belt.
That's surprising w/ SE, because I never saw it in any compability list. It was known that old Nokias should be ok.
I'm very pleased with this option (like most of the other options too, by the way )
Pics will follow, Kari

Great to know about the k700i - I've been holding off getting new phone to find one I liked that worked ok. I'll go and get one today.
Let me know if you encounter any problems with it.

Thanks for the update. I read somewhere that the SE K700i will upload it's phone book everytime a connection is made with the E60's bluetooth, and this makes connection time a little longer. Unlike the SE T610/630 which have a feature which that allows you to update the phone book only when you want to.
Is this true?

I made a quick test. I added a new contact before connecting to car, but it wasn't uploaded automatically, at least not in my 5 min testing period. If this is how it works, I'm lucky not to add contacts every day
After unpairing / pairing again, the new contact was uploaded.
Haven't got the opportunity to test it trough, but if I'll find out anything new, I'll inform. Later this week I'm going to test how SE P910 is going to act. It's listed as some kind of semi-compatible phone.

Remember, only the contacts on the SIM card are accessed by the car kit. This process happens each time you turn on the ignition. If like the Siemens S55 you have an addressbook (in the phone's memory) as well as a phonebook (SIM card based) you will only see your addressbook contact on the i-drive if you physically copy it to your SIM beforehand.
