I can't figure it out. I don't know if my 530i has bluetooth or not, how do you know? in my manual kit, there is a bluetooth key card, which has bluetooth id numbers, does that mean I have bluetooth? I called all the BMW service dept in my area, and noone gave me a good answer, those guys know shit about the features in the cars. Help me out~!@! is there a special BMW tech phone number.

I also did the same search when I bought my 525i. Have also searched for many of the other options this car can not get.

Bluetooth is not available for the 5 series yet. Not sure when it will be out.

Bluetooth IS available for the 5 series. Thousands of us have BT. However, I think that it's not available in the US, or not with other options such as BMW Assist.

I have a funny feeling that one of the other problems is the US mobile phone setup (CDMA??) which I gather is light years behind GSM, which all the rest of the world uses

If you have BMW Assist, you do not have Bluetooth.

Doesn't all 5series have BMW Assist ?
I think so... and that would mean you CAN have BT and BMW Assist both...

From what I understand... the Bluetooth module and the BMW Assist module will not physically fit in the computer at the same time. This is the issue with our MY '04 E60's and Bluetooth. There has always been talk of a fix, and it looks like MY '05 will have it. Dunno about a retro though...

MY 2005 will have it and AFAIK you can have 5er's allready with BT and BMW Assist, but without nav pro (speaking for Germany)... !??
However, MY05 will have it...
