Hi everyone!!

Did any Canadian e60 owners heard anything about the BTUM module upgrade?
I checked with many dealers here, and they haven't even heard anything about
such a thing, and they keep telling me that bluetooth can be added with a
$3000 kit... so if there is anyone out there in Canada who got his/her car done,
please let me know, and also, how much did you pay for the installation
here in Canada? I think it shouldn't be much different, because the Canadian
dollar is very close to American currency these days.

Thanks guys!! Please let me know!! very eager for this upgrade!!

cheers!!

What is the Date of Manufacture of your car? Mine was June 2004 and I got Bluetooth upgrade at no charge. If your car was produced after March '04 . The production date of your E60 will dictate if you have an updated TCU, if you do, then at the most you need a software upgrade which should cost you no more than Max $ 300.00.

Right - my car was produced (born? hatched?) around March '04. All it cost me was $270 for the upgrade by my dealer.

Before that date, you're into new modules which is very pricey.

I bought my car used. One thing that gave me a clue that the car had the physical capability was that it came with a roughly 8"x8" card that had the bluetooth MAC address on it. That told me it just needed to be enabled. Why didn't it come enabled? Beats me. If you've got one of those cards, you could be in luck.

Cheers.
