I Love my BT in the car

I would recommend it to anyone.

I have a nokia 6600 and it works brilliantly for making calls, It doesnt pick up the phonebook, but rest works perfect.

however, i have two gripes.

The listening volume is too low when talking to some people. Anyone know if i can get this fixed ? and is it in my right to complain to bmw about it ? It runs through the car speakers, so i dont understand why the sound level is so restricted.

The second is the volume when talking to some people, they complain i am quiet.

Again, anyway i can get this improved or complain ?

As far as I am aware you can't change the volume / sensitivity at all. I even asked my dealers to try when it was in for a service. No joy

The output volume can normally be changed from the phone itself..

The volume of a call can be adjusted using the steering wheel volume control. Have you tried this? I've never had a problem - except when I've forgotten to turn it back down at the end of the call and almost had my ears blown off when the cd kicks back in at max volume

Sounds like you may have a problem there as my volume goes pretty loud. Either that or you may need a hearing aid Maybe Doc D can advise on that issue.

I tried the Nokia 6600 two days ago and i must say that you can't compare it with the SE T610.
The Nokia only after 3 tries i got it to pare with the car and the phone book wasn't there, plus it had the volume problem.

The SE T610 it is faster to connect with the car and the phone book is there, and the volume was working fine also.

I'm waiting for some news in bluetooth phones but for now the SE T610 is just fine.

Smokin - you are living with the T610 'for now'. I have got to go and get rif of my nice shiny new k700 (that other found worked ok) and trade it in for a 12 month contract on something old and crappy, like a T610 or T630. There really is absolutely NOTHING else still currently available that works and has a decent battery life. What a serious bore

BTW smokin. What flag is that on your signature? It looks like the cross of St george, but has a funny extra bit on the left?
