Blackberry 7520 - Working!

I have been watching this group since last year when I bought my 2004 530i (7/04 Build date).
I had bluetooth activated two months ago and Aux Input installed last week.
I was just about ready to give up on my Nextel Blackberry 7520 ever working with my e60 until I tested my friends Verizon 7250 yesterday and it worked!
I upgraded the software in my Blackberry and I am now able to use Bluetooth in my e60. It only works as a speakerphone at this point. I can dial from the iDrive and use the steering wheel buttons as well including voice commands. I cannot transfer my address book.
Just thought I would pass on the application version that is working
Blackberry 7520
Wireless Handheld v4.0.0.249
Platform 1.4.0.40
My car is running v16.2

I too have a Blackberry 7520 that I've been trying to get to work. Which carrier do you have? I use Nextel. And how did you update your software? Thanks

Below is a link to download updated software and instructions. I also use Nextel as the carrier. You need to download the desktop management software in addtion to the handheld software. The desktop management software is acutally what will do the upgrade using the USB cable connected to your PC.

[/quote]I am able to dial a phone number and place a call using the iDrive. I am also able to use the "dial number" voice command to dial a number and place a call. I had no idea my car supported voice commands until yesterday.

Can someone test this (if you have a BB with a SIM card [Cingular, T-Mobile, etc.]) - try adding a contact to the SIM card itself and see if that gets transferred to your E60.
