best option for iphone3g?

have an 06 525d, no nav, no cd changer or bluetooth but what seems to be the cd prep cables.
what would be the best option to use the iphone3g, bluetooth for phone and music through car's speakers? think retrofitting would be more costly than aftermarket options?
noob here so help appreciated.

Get the Dension Gateway 500. it'll solve everything for your IPOD requests. As far as the bluetooth, you'll need to get BMW programming.

is it just a simple software update to get the bluetooth working? or is there a module i would have to buy and have installed. i have the microphones already installed and there is a button on my steering wheel with a pic of a phone on it. i also have the sos button with a phone on it. what should i do as i also want to have the bluetooth option.
