Found another opition for android users.
There are a few app that let you stream all the audio from the phone through the hands free profile. Basicly the car thinks it's getting a phone call and allow any audio that is playing on the phone to be heard through the car. Now the quality is not that good as it's mono only but its a start and it's free. The app that i've tried is BTmono it's free and works well. I'm not affiliated with the developer, I found it on XDA while updating my Dension 500s.
Phone is a nexus 4 running JB, car 2006 E60 pro nav with bluetooth (UK).
There are some other app on the play market that do this too, I've not tested them.
