I changed the value of E-CALL_HARDKEY_FITTED in the TCUM module to nicht_aktiv. I turned off the key, waited for 10 seconds and when I turned the key back on the error code was cleared and I no longer had the error. I didn't have an account anyway I and I don't plan on getting an account so the functionality isn't something that I'm going to miss. It sure beats going to the dealer and getting a new module installed!

I guess I answered this myself. I set both of the entries above to not active, and now my SOS error is gone. Yay!
Now, Bruce, is there an entry to disable the passenger restraint check as well?

I replaced my bluetooth module ... (my bmw made in Germany) to working module but this module from USA car (from e92)... all is working great.
But "SOS failure error".
I have not module TCUM.
i checked it and i already have "nicht_aktiv".
Maybe any other solutions?

Unfortunately, the error has returned to my car. I found this SI Bulletin that may be of some use. Has any added +TELD to the vehicle order and know what variables are changed?

(See here for more details.)
I turned off the key, waited for a minute, and then turned the key back on, and had no error message!
And then about 2 minutes later I got the dreaded SOS error message, again. So now I am at a loss as to what to do. Would any other modules have parameters that activate the BMW Assist?
