Has anyone got the following phones and what's the compatibility like with Sat Nav fitted cars.

1. M600i - I've heard in now worked with the latest firmware. Can anyone confirm?
2. P990i - I've heard in now worked with the latest firmware. Can anyone confirm?
3. W950i - What about this?? Anyone got this yet?

We all know the K800i works fine but what about the M600i, P990i and W950i. I cannot believe not a single person on this board has those phones. They are the hottest things going at the moment.

Bruce.

Try this if you can.
1. Check if numbers from the SIM card are visible on the iDrive?
2. If possible remove all the numbers from the Phone and only leave numbers on the SIM.

Do you have Nav or not?

I have had compatibility issues with my Sony Ericsson K750i and after much searching I have found a solution.

The issue is that BMW bluetooth is only compatible with certain versions of the Sony Ericsson firmware and SE seems to upgrade the firmware quite often.

To get my phone to work fully I had to downgrade the phone firmware to a version with which the bluetooth system was compatible.

I used www.davinciteam.com to do this. I had to pay for the software and take a leap of faith that it would work but the alternative was buying a SIM free phone.

I have had no problems since doing this.

The K750i had similar issues to the W810i. I reported on a separate discussion that SE have now fixed the issues with the W810i so I think the K750i also should be OK now with the latest firmware. I too used davinci to get away from the vodafone branding and CDA change so that now I can use the generic SE firmware instead of using the dreadful Vodafone rubbish. It also helps now because I can upgrade the phone via SEUS.

So the P990i can't be that far off then. Also the W950i should be able to work too. Only because they all are based on the same OS. Infact the M600i has always got the firmware fixes before the P990i. Can anyone speak for the P990i and W950i as yet.
