I was just curious to see what those who cant have Bluetooth in their car or dont want to have it or the CPT 9000 are using for their cell phones while in their car. ive given up on Bluetooth since I have a Feb 04 build e60, and I dont want the cpt9000 setup. I gave up my motorola v710 a couple of weeks ago and i now have a Nextel phone now for work and as a personal phone and was thinking of just getting a headset, but does anyone know of a nice setup?

Blackberry 7290 with bluetooth headset...maybe one day I'll bother to try to activate bluetooth in the car...but it's not really something that is all that important to me, besides I'm always looking at the thing while driving to monitor e-mail (of course never while I'm driving

If you are thinking about a headset, why not go with a bluetooth phone (razr or treo 650) with the bluetooth headset. You can set up your voice activation (on phone) and use the headset (hands free). This set up will allow you to leave you phone in your pocket or briefcase.
What I did was have an aftermarket bluetooth car kit fitted. It's a quick and easy install with only power and earth needed, radio mute if you want that as well.
As soon as ignition is on the kit connects with the phone. Kit has its own microphone and external speaker.
Sound and voice quality is really good.
