Default Add Bluetooth audio for $10

I just added Bluetooth audio to my 2008 535xi for $10. If your car has the headphone jack and the USB port you should be good to go.

I used the following part from Ebay.

Nice. Are you able to control the music from the steering wheel with this? Do you get song information on the CCC/CIC screen?

If you've also BT paired your cell phone to the car I don't understand how you can have both functioning simulateously? It is my understanding that you can have only one (1) BT connection functional at a time? Or, have you elected to BT Pair your cell to the USB/aux input? If so, do your cell contacts get transferred, do you see caller ID, etc?

I have a 2008, and while I don't kow ow it does it, I can pai y iPhone and a Belkin bluetooth simultaneously. When I tried a Blackberry Bluetooth for music, both it and my phone would pair automatically when within range. (I returned the BB unit, by it paired nicely!)

Sorry you can’t control tracks by the steering wheel or see play information on the screen but it does give you a quality Bluetooth audio link when you select auxiliary on your car.

For $10 I can’t complain. I got tired of plugging a headphone jack into my phone all the time.
Also my phone pairs with the Bluetooth cellular that is built into the car and the USB dongle at the same time.

What's the quality like? Is it better than going straight in to the aux? I've read bass suffers on these Bluetooth audio bridges.

That said with the volume level and with the sound being optimised for headphones, aux to headphones isn't ideal - so this could be an improvement?

I recommend buying another brand or something. Mine broke (literally broke) before it even got into the car. The soldering was real bad.

I just bought one of this but I don't understand how to stream music to the bluetooth unit. Can anyone explain this a little further?
