Accessory Mode Power for BT Board??
Can the "Remote Power" Line/Port on an Amp (Alpine) be used to "also" power on the BT Board discussed here?? If possible, this wld be instead of tapping the back seat cigarette lighter - to get the BT Board to stay on in "Accessory" mode (car on/engine off).
Option 1: Solder a wire to the VCC section on the BT Board and run that wire back to the trunk where the AMP is located. The GND "I guess" can be just soldered right there to the cigarette lighter.
Option 2: 2-Wire Power cord (black/white) w/Barrel connector end that plugs into BT Board Power Port. Add extension to make wire long enough to reach trunk to put one side in Amp Power Port and terminate the other "somewhere" for Ground (GND). This option eliminates the need to solder.
I do have the Techniq OEM Harness to direct connect my Amp without splicing. The Remote Wire in the Harness goes to my Amp to power it on. That's what got me thinking about also putting the BT Board wire in the same port. I'm no electrical engineer, so this all could be wishful thinking!
Thoughts?? Thx.
