8100 Blackberry pearl and snap in adaptors

Hi
I am due to take delivery of a 520d M Sport next week and currently use the Blackberry Pearl (8100). I understand from reading other posts that the phone works well with the 5 series Bluetooth system
The phone is relatively new and doesn't appear on the BMW compatibility lists so I assume that there is no snap in adaptor available?
Does anyone know what I'm losing by not having an adaptor? I assume it is only the ability to charge the phone and possible enhanced reception for the aerial?
Many thanks

That's pretty much it. Some snap-in adaptors only provide for charging, others provide charging and a link to the rooftop sharkfin antenna.
Don't expect an adaptor for the Pearl any time soon. The phone would have to become really, really popular before BMW would likely release it. (The RAZR adaptor came out only recently yet the RAZR phone has been out for many years.)

Have we been able to confirm that the 8100 works on the e60? I have a '05 525i and I'm returning my Samsung Blackjack and likely going to pick up the Pearl (Cingular). Address book transfers? Everything pairs up fine? Voice dialing?
thanks,
Cris

You may have already seen these but just in case:

I have access to a Cingular Pearl at work so when I get a chance, I can verify whether or not it works with a 2004 545i -- my BB 8700c works so well I sometimes have to pinch myself...

The Pearl works beautifully with my '05 545i. The only feature I can't seem to figure out is having the GPS feature on the Pearl communicate via bluetooth with the car? Any ideas?
