help. I just bought a beautiful 2004 530i with a sports package and premium backage. production was 07/-04. It has 50k on it with one owner and impeccible records. Its the first truly big girl car I have owned. Went from a mercedes to it and can't believe how much fun I have had. I need to blue tooth my cell to it. I have read that if it is after 03/04 it only needs software and an hours time. Dealership laughed and said a minimum of 1k in parts plus god knows how many hours to configure. Can someone give me the 411 on this?

Search 'TCU' and 'retrofitting bluetooth' cuz you're gonna need to do both. You can get a TCU w/bluetooth capability off ebay, or rebuilt ones from the dealer. Once that's installed they're gonna need to program it. Hope I'm right with this.
