What happens if both my wife and I have bluetooth phones and pair them with the car? Will we have separate phone books if we use different keys or will one phone over write the others phone book each time?

My Ride: 535d Sport Saloon. Silver Grey. Black leather.
You can set the priority in the menu, so if both phones are present only the one with the highest priority will be detected. I have three phones paired with my car, and it works fine.

I don't think that was what he was asking....
He wants to know which Phonebook (or are there 2 separate Phonebooks) that get loaded into the iDrive screen? One, shared, or two?

Well, it answered part of my question since I wasn't sure if you could even pair with more then one phone. The reply sounds like he is talking about if both phones are in the car at the same time. In my case sometimes I drive the car and sometimes my wife does so I am wondering what will happen when ether of us takes the car alone with different phones?

The priority is set to mine, so when we both get in the car mine pairs. If we want hers to pair just say Voice command "Bluetooth" and click on her name. This way mine stays as the higher priority and will always pair first unless she is alone in the car in which case hers will pair. The switch from one phone to the other takes about 30 seconds and post CIP 16x is easily verifiable because you see the name of the phone paired on the bottom left of the phone screen. Not to mention her address book which is different. BTW My phone is a Cingular GSM RAZRV3. Hers is a Verizon CDMA V710. Both Motorolas. You should go into the phones and change the BT name so that they are easily identifiable.
