I have a May 2004 build 530i and Bluetooth had to be enabled in the software by the dealer in order to work with my phone.

Its standard as of MY05 I think and can be retrofitted to cars built after March 2004. I dont remember the exact dates as this topic has not been discussed for a while. I'm going off the top of my head.

YOU need to go over to the Phone/Blue tooth board here.

SHE needs to order and have the dealer install the BMW Motorola BT Adapter and cradle, and then pair it all up. ($400 or so), assuming she has a BMW-recognized BT phone.

Can you hear me now?
