They can also be used as trunk lights and footwell lights. These bulbs produce less heat than "hyper-white" halogens. It is direct replacement installation. Just use a flat head screwdriver in the slot and push it to the right, it will pop open on the left, then pry open the right and it pops out....putting it back right side first and just snap the left side in...
