I was seriously thinking about getting them at that price, but they have the 74.1 mm center bore. I didn't want to deal with "hub rings".

are you maybe confusing hub rings with hub spacers? Hub rings for these 74.1 to 72.5 are almost paper thin metal they give the center bore a snug fit on the hub, when the rings are used there is no chance of vibration. most low offset wheels are a larger center bore to accomidate e39 and other models.
