Some Information you might want to know before buying a HID Conversion Kit:

35w kits vs. 50w kits

50w hid kits & bulbs give off, tremendos heat which can cause damage to your headlight or fog light housing and lens, if you think your stock halogen gets hot just think of a 50W High Intensity Kit!!! There is minimal light increase in 50w hid light output, less then 30% more then 35w hid kit. Is it worth it? A High Quality 35w kit is just perfect, runs more effient, cooler, 300% brighter, and 10x longer lasting then halogen . That is exactly why BMW engineers choose a stock 35w Adaptive Xeon HID for your ultimate driving machine. Some competitors claim to sell full 50w kits but in reality they sell 50w ballast with 35w bulbs which cause the 35w bulbs to last a quarter of their life spand. A high quality 35w kit is obiviously your best option when coverting to HID headlights or Fogs.

About Error Canceller Cables:

Error Canceller Cables are used on low quality hid kits imitations. Low Quality Hid Kits your Idrive Computer picks them up and warns you that you have a malfuction in your lighting system. Modification using error canceller cables is kind of like taking a advil when you have a injured knee, the pain goes away but the problem is still there and you are walking on it which can cause damage to your knee or in this case your cars electrical system. Example: Lets just say your hid kit which uses "error cancellers cables" to be able to work wihout being dectected by your idrive computer, if the kit or kits would to have a electrical short circuit your "error cancellers cables" would not allow your idrive computer to do its job and detect the problem and shut off the power to the kit or kits. SuperNova HID Kits designed NOT to allow this to occur.

When Looking to match your Factory 4300k Stock Projector BMW Adaptive HID Headlight.

When converting to HID Fogs in order to match your stock xeons correctly you need 6000k hid bulb which is pure white " hyper white" with no yellow hue because your fogs have no source of yellow hue eliminator. your 4300k headlights give off a yellow hue which is eliminated by your factory projector which allows your OEM 4300k bulb to giving off a white light which will match your new 6000k fogs. This what i have on my 2005 525i e60 and it looks spectacular!!!

Remember you must get relays with resistors beofre installing HID kit in the fogs, or you will get an error message. I would also advertise that with you sale.

Not nessacerly it depends on the kit, you would probably get that if you buy cheap ones off ebay . i had these intsalled in many vechile including my ex e46. They worked just fine with out any modfication or errors. I havent gotten the chance to install them on my new e60 because i got it like four days ago but will be posting up pictures soon. If you guys are interested in buying and you have any problems you may return them and i will refund the purchase amount. Good looking out Eugene134

Not a problem, however E60 are different than E46's and older Bimmers. So I would Install them on the E60 first and be a 100% sure.

+1 what Eugene said. You should try it first. I know some members on this forum have done it and they have to use resistors to avoid error from iDrive.

im a 100% sure u need resistors to make it work on a e60.

theyll work with the engine off, but when they turn on. the computer will shut them off.

+1 on the resistors. I had a set installed on my e60 and it requires resistors. I had the McCulloch brand which is twice as much as these. Good luck on the install.
