I have a couple of questions. In the pictures you have posted there are different types of tips. Which ones are the 76mm tips that come on the quads? You said in this post that the quad pipes are 90mm. So to clarify things I am reposting all the pics and hoping that you could tell us which tips are in each picture and what size. I think that Pic. A, C, and D may be the same type in different angles, but Pic B is different........Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for the reply and info Atilla. So is it not possible to have 90mm quads on the Petrol models (545i)? I assume that they will allow that but it will probably be more expensive?
Also, I heard the 6 series HM 5.2 clip that you posted and it sounded nice. What I am wondering is will the quads sound the same on a 545? The reason I ask is that although the 545 and 645 have the same engine the OEM BMW exhaust for them sound very different from each other, so I am wondering if Hamann also makes their 545 and 645 exhausts to sound different from each other. Thanks again Atilla.

the 90mm is only for M5 and 535D for others it does not exists, the diam is only for the looks,
the sound depends on material if not use tricks like some CHEAP ones, with level switches.
So my guess is that as the exhaust are all the same (SS) made only and on the special request of HAMANN they sound the same.
I heared my friend the V8 545i with this set up on Hockenheimring this summer and it was the same.
The clip I only asked HAMANN to prepare for us the forums

I asked HAMANN and they confirmed:answer is yes 545i has the exact same sound as that one, no matter of engine.
BOTH SIDE OF PIPES WORKING FLOWING!!!
That car is a true 5.2 but that changes HP speed and toruqe not really the sound
I asked for new pictures too

They said they have 76mm for all engines, and for new 535D pipes and for the M5 the full system is 90mm. Why they should change the whole range which is exisiting, but will ask them may be they will listen to us again, like when they did with the new M technik diffusersome pics of the cutout showing the beautiful Pegasus Logo

no as the cutouts are only to SHOW the logo and if 90mm or 76mm they show them well.

story is easy: they did a demo car for 535 Diesel! and that one has a 90mm quad pipe set up, but this was as there were no quads real working and all for 535D many members always asked why there is no quads for frenzy torque-masters, NOW there is!
for the petrols and the other engines there was and IS the same set up avaialble,
until stock lasts at reduced prices
this here is the same set up, 76 woring both sides quad pipes on V8
all other pics attached in this thread were F430 Ferrari, 530d and 545i all the same
