I emailed Singh Autosports last week on the gains for my 2004 530i.. Jags replied back "You can squeeze 20hp 19lbs tq from your car (maybe more... We need to read the file). We can remove the hesitation/flat spots/speed limiter, etc, etc."

very tempting...

Do it Fiel! It's so convenient too since he's local.

Holy Crap, 20HP and 19 LbFt? For $549? That's a good deal. Definitely tempting (especially since we have the same car), if you get it let me know and I just might follow - then we'll race Tony

Anyone do this on a 545 yet? If so, what gains/changes do you see? Does this remap cause problems if your car if under warranty?

Vegastrashed had it on his 545 a few years ago. PM him but he's traveling at the moment.

Most if not all software remaps are supposed to be undetectable by the dealers so there shouldn't be any issues with warranty. They would also have to prove that your aftermarket software directly caused a part to fail to deny you warranty work. So let's say your AC stops working, it'll be tough to say that a software remap that adjusts things like fuel, timing, throttle response..etc.. is responsible for ruining your AC.

Whoa baby!

RPI exhaust, check!
BMI filter, check!
RPI scoop, check!
Lighter wheels (20s to 19s), check!

It sounds like all I need now is this tune!

We'll talk next week Thursday or Friday when I pick up my VMRs.

More power and better fuel economy makes it VERY tempting, what is the reflash warranty? If the dealer flashes my ECU will Singh reflash it afterward?
I haven't discuss that with Jags yet but I will follow up with him on what is his warranty policy is.

As soon as I hear Singh is coming down to the shop, I will update this thread.

Like ECF said, vegastrashed had the tune on his old 545i. Gains are about 20 HP and 20 lbs/TQ, with the speed limiter removed.

This remap will not cause any problems at all. We currently tune O'Gara Coach Company of Beverly Hills cars http://www.astonmartinbeverlyhills.com/. When we took a tuned Rolls Royce Phantom into service, the dealer could not detect the remap until we told them after the service that the car was had a ECU remap done.

There's info on their website FAQ about their policy if a dealer reflashes the tune back to stock http://www.singhautosport.com/index2.html ... sounds good.. I'll probably have to wait and get this as a Christmas present for myself...
