Hello all,

We have been receiving a lot of emails regarding quad systems on the V8 E60s, whether it's the 545i or the 550i.
Let's make it clear, we do not manufacture a specific quad exhaust for those models, only a single system.

However, multiple members on this forum have successfully installed our universal mufflers to complete the quad look.
Here are some pointers that you should look for if you plan on doing a custom remus quad setup.

First of all, measure the available space under your car and then compare to our mufflers.
Here are the dimensions of our mufflers :
  • Round can : ? 5,24"x15,35"
  • Oval can : 7,48"x4,72"x14,96"
  • Square can ; 8,27"x5,91"x16,93"
Once this is done and you know which canister size you need or want, you now need to know what inlet diameter you would like, 2", 2.25" or 2.5" ?
Most of our universal mufflers have 2" inlet, however, Remus developped a special stepped inlet design called Rev3 : it is basically a stepped inlet that allows you to trim at your desired inlet diameter, you have 3 options, 2", 2.25" or 2.5".

You can see our universal mufflers here, look for the mention REV3 in the product title if you are interested in that particular stepped inlet.

On page 2 you will find our Twin tip Rev3 mufflers : Twin Angled, Twin 02 and Twin Turbo.

If you have any questions, please reply here.

Regards.

why couldn't we take the quad you have for the 535 and modify the pipe coming off the resonator to fit?

Maybe you can help with my dilemna here

If I do 2 universals, which one fits on the passenger side?

Can I do the 550 specific muffler and a smaller universal on the other side?

Inlet diameter for our quads is 2.75", regular inlet on V8 models is around 2.9 - 3.00 ".
