The truth is, it takes an extreme amount of energy to produce H.
In a test he asked for the energy source of the future and my answer was nuclear fusion as soon as it works reliably. And that idiot said "As long as I am a physical scientist there won't be any nuclear fusion on this planet". I thought "WTF?! Have you ever heard of further training? Your study was 45 years ago! You can feel lucky for being taught in nuclear fission 
". And the 'correct' answer was Hydrogen.
