Here's a spyshot of the next 7 series.
Funny comment (see link) about how large the display opening is. (something about being able to stuff a football in there).
It looks to me like BMW is making the 7 series interior much more driver oriented. Note the thick 3-spoke steering wheel. More significantly, they've moved the shifter back to the console - where it belongs - and not on the steering stalk.
I wonder how much of this look and feel will trickle down to the next gen 5er?

have basically placed a fake plastic/cardboard dash COMPLETELY OVER
the real one. Talk about going overboard...
I think that's the real reason that it looks so small.
