My Ride: 02" Porsche Carrera 911
Guys, my cousin just bought am 04 745Li about 2 weeks ago with 38k on it, so it still has the warranty! he put 22" rims on it as well. He just called me his car broke down, says completely shut down and all kinds of i-drive messages!
He is scared to call BMW or get it towed there incase the wheels get the warranty voided, so literally the car is on the side of the road until i can find a proper answer for him..lol

I don't see the correlation between 22" wheels and the 745i breaking down. I never considered BMW voiding my warranty when I had my 545i with 20"s. Tell your cousin to take it to BMW for repair.

The warranty will only be affected on parts that could be affected by aftermarket products. For example if you had an issue with your suspension or axle, that could be attributed to large aftermarket wheels and could cause a problem. But because this is an electronic issue, which has no relation to the wheels, you will be fine.

I take all my cars with aftermarket wheels to the dealer for repair... i dare them to say my wheels caused problems unless suspension parts were worn out faster then usual.
