Thats a good price, Im a big fan of factory installed stuff, and with the decline in the econ, the m5's are pretty cheap.

It shouldn't cost that much. I paid $1500 for the M Tech kit for my 545 and $1100 for paint and install and that was about 3 years ago. It's cheaper now. You can probably get it for less than $2500, parts, paint, installation.

Damn, thats cheap. I remember BMW wholesale quoting me more than $1,500 for the kit. $1,100 paint and installation sounds right, 3 years ago. Also, depending on which BMW dealer you buy it from, price could be a little, or a lot higher than $1,500. EuroCarFan, just has crazy connections.

HA! No crazy connections here. I got my kit at Stevens Creek BMW and just haggled with them a bit to lower it from the MSRP to $1450. I've read about people on here getting their kits for as low as $1200 or so. And I think from competitive reasons, the price of paint and install also dropped from when I paid $1100 to get mine done. I think SonicMS charges about $900 now but not 100% sure.

UPDATE!

Here are some of the after pics. Car is filthy. Parts have not been wet sanded. Car will be completely wet sanded and buffed soon.

I am still considering blacking the front grille and the chrome window trim still.

It all depends on which rims I get, or what I may change with these old ones.
Stay tuned for more very slow updates.
