Actually Ben Baller got a lot of his early notoriety flipping Nike SB's (Skate Boarding). He was known for his "stockroom" pictures of when he snatched up a lot of SB inventory around 2002 or so, hyping them up, then selling them for many times their retail value. Marketing genius.. the major beginning of sneaker resellers..
After spurring and hyping up the "shoe game," he cashed out and moved on to other ventures such as his jewelry making business, which I think he had some connections due to familial ties. Didnt really bother to notice what he moved onto but I do see him around in the Larchmont/Melrose areas from time to time. I remember his white M5 at Platinum when i used to work super close to Platinum's location on Melrose. It's always interesting to hear bout this guy from time to time.
I just remember him from his sneaker days and of good old Niketalk.
