G8 is built on the corvette based ls7 motor i believe... They are strong motors and can take abuse, and forced induction. Hence why they are running 10+psi... Just because you add an intercooler doesnt make it any safer to run... BMW motors arent made to run high boost (Hence why dinan s/c's, and the other company releasing supercharger) will only be running it at 4-6psi MAX. Beyond that, you better be building that motor from the ground up to handle high boost, else bye bye motor...

My theory is, if you want a fast car, start with a already decent fast car, and build on that. (Eg. corvette, m6). Taking a already slow car (6 series) and trying to make it fast... well pointless, and long term reliabilty... lol

I would have to disagree

IF you know how to launch, and you can get your car to hook with the right set of tires/wheels/suspension setup, you can have a 600+rwhp car and use it. I say this because my friend has a Hatch mustang with a massive single turbo, totally built 5.4l motor, running about 1200hp to the wheels, and lets say when he hooks, its Goooooooooes lol

For me, 2009 will be a chrome exhaust tip (it's an ugly metal one right now) and that's it.

And I'll probably sell the car this year as well.
