Has any one tried to polish the leather seats ? I was told by a friend it is better to wipe them with just plain water. My 523i was bought new in the month of May last year. How frequent one needs to wax. any particular brand of wax polish.

zymol, lexol, meguires, or leatherique are all good products. Typically it's beater to use a separate cleaner and separate conditioner. Work in the conditioner by hand. Let the sun bake the conditioner into the leather for best results. Think of it like those baseball oils. You stick it in the over to help it penetrate deep.

Every 2 weeks? is it a recommended frequency to condition our leather seats?

I am a detailer. To clean the seats, use leather cleaner made for car seats or a tower with boiling hot water.

I use Swissvax leather conditioner every two months, but any kind will work, as long as it's made for car seat leather. Just rub it in vacuumed and cleaned seats and let it sit without touching it for 30 minutes.
