tail lights ok?

so i was behind my car for the first time looking at the brakelights to see what it would look like. Howcome only half of the LED's light up on each side? there are much more LED's in the taillight housing but the other LED's never come on. is that maybe for rear fogs on euro models?

haha yeah that's me.. lol jk jk that's my dad. Someone (me) had to take the picture and someone had to step on the break to activate the lights obviously lol

Mine lights up exactly the same.So does ever 6er I see on the road around my area.

It does that because of adaptive break lights. If you stomp on the pedal really hard, they will all light up to warn people that you're stopping fast.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much it would help in a real life situation though, haha. "Look! that 6 series has all of the lights lit up! He must be stopping fast!"
