Happened yesterday evening going about 40 don't know what happened yet but either spring broke, strut broke, or some bolt came off. I'll keep you guys posted!

Damn, It kinda looks like your car is lowered with airbags. How are you going to get it to the dealer like that?

well at that point it was at the dealer already. happened on the onramp to the highway so not too fast.

Anyway, they just called and said that the bolt had worked itself out. so it was a bad install since they didn't tighten the bolts down enough. i'll call the place where i got the install done and have them pick up the tab on this one.

The funny thing was they said there was no damage to anything. tire is ok, the spash guard inside the wheel case got molten a little since the tire rubbed against it but is still ok. I think i might have them replace that spash guard anyway and try to get a new tire since there is some molten plastic on it, which can easily be picked off but then at least i'd have a spare tire.

You came out of that one OK ... good thing it didn't happen at a higher speed or in an evasive maneuver or the outcome could have been devastating. You should impress upon the installer that they should use the carpenter technique ... measure twice - cut once.

actually just got another call. the bolt didn't fall out it snapped off! WTF? i told them to replace all bolts. The cost is still going to be around 250 they said

haha yeah just tell them to take all the bolts out rock no springs at all or just put a washer in for a little space
