Hamann do Delimiting for 630/645/650

The outcome of the reprograming

630 = 263 km/h (163.43mph)
645 = 280 km/h (173.99mph)
650 = 270 km/h (167.78mph)
Shouldn't the 650 be 280 and 645 270 km/h?

I thought the 650 has more HP? That would be crazy hitting 280kmh ...might have to chip tune soon.

That is weird...how does the exact same car but with more hp have a lower top speed? Doesn't add up.

Does anyone know what the top speed of the 650 and 645 coupe and convertible would be if there was no limiter?
You should check gearbox and final drive ratios

160mph after a long day of work and a night of drinking... not a good idea!

Our cars have a DME (engine management) but also a transmission ecu. When the speed limit is removed in the DME the restricting factor is at the ecu governing transmission gear revolutions. It seems the 650 is more restricted in this manner.

Also the 5er has a higher top speed than the 6er when the DME speed limiter is lifted (delta is about 7km/h)

I've discovered that my 545i will not go beyond 172miles/h (true speed - not indicated) in 6th (5200rpm) unless I manipulate the transmission ecu. Is it doable ? - yes, but quite difficult (not a simple ecu flash upgrade).
