Are you sure? Because I have tried that but the headlight washer did not spray? Long ago I can't remember what exactly what I did. But the washer sprayed from the headlight. Now I tried to get it to work again but can't seem to make it work?
They work only if the headlights are on and you use your wipers. It gets really messy on a warm summer night when you just want to clean of the window and the whole car gets wet.

on the way home from work, and tried out to see if it work. But no luck? I had the wipers on,and pulled the knob so water would spray on my windshield a few times and the headlight washer did not spray at all?

umm how exactly do you know this when you are in the car? have someone get in the car and spray the windshield and then see if the headlight spray engages just to be sure
